The honest bit
Gemini in Chrome requires a Google account and the feature to be enabled in your version of Chrome. If you do not see the icon, check that you are on a recent version of Chrome and signed in.
It reads page content, not everything behind a login. If a tab requires you to log in and the content is not visible on the page, Gemini may not be able to read it fully.
Very long pages may be summarised rather than read in full. For highly detailed comparisons involving dense spec sheets or long contracts, it is worth verifying the key figures yourself.
This is a reading and summarising tool, not a price-tracking or real-time data tool. It reads what is on the page at the moment you ask, so prices or availability can change after the page loaded.
It is faster for most decisions, not all decisions. For anything with significant financial or legal weight, use this to narrow down your options, then read the finalist yourself.
